CINCINNATI - June 11, 2025 - Pro Football Focus (PFF), the industry leader in football data and analytics, announced the appointment of Jared Bernhardt as Vice President of Data Science. A veteran analytics executive with a track record of transforming how global organizations harness data to drive performance, Bernhardt joins PFF from the NFL, where he led the league’s advanced analytics strategy and helped drive growth through data-driven innovation.
At PFF, Bernhardt will oversee all aspects of the company’s data science roadmap, advancing PFF’s core mission to power every winning decision - from front offices to broadcasters, sports betting, fantasy and more. He will play a key role in shaping the next generation of PFF’s proprietary analytics and AI-powered tools, while scaling real-time insights across the company’s product suite.
During his tenure at the NFL, Bernhardt built and deployed high-impact models - from fan segmentation and churn prediction to dynamic pricing and real-time AI-powered analytics. In collaboration with all 32 teams, his work helped embed data-driven decision-making into every layer of team operations and fan engagement.
Prior to the NFL, Bernhardt held data science and analytics leadership roles at Google, Apple, Nike, and Target, driving growth and personalization across global ecommerce and subscription platforms. He is known for championing customer-obsessed, impact-oriented strategies, and building high-performing cross-functional teams.
“Football is the most data-rich sport in the world - and no one sits at the intersection of innovation and football intelligence like PFF,” said Bernhardt. “I’m thrilled to help shape the next era of the game by unlocking new ways for our customers and partners to drive smarter, more informed outcomes.”
Bernhardt’s appointment is part of a broader expansion of PFF’s leadership team as the company scales its technology and analytics capabilities across the football ecosystem. Bernhardt joins other recent executive hires including Kyle Conway, VP of Engineering and Zach Zimmerman, VP of Marketing. Along with recent investments in AI, PFF is doubling down on its commitment to empower every stakeholder in football with the data they need to win.
